In the beginning there was my blog.

Free Schools intrigue me.  They question the assumption that many people make about the nature of children and the ways in which children should behave, spend their time, and be taught.
Free Schools challenge the idea that children need to be taught by adults in a systemic way in order to learn anything.  They challenge the popular belief that success is something that can and should be measured on paper and compared to others.  They make me reconsider handing over my child to the public school system to be categorized, labeled, and price-tagged.

My thesis project on Free Schools and how children who attend these schools spend their abundance of free time is just in the beginning stages.  This is a place where I will collect articles, videos, ideas, and other relevant material.  This is a place where I can direct friends that are also interested in Free Schooling, and eventually, this is a place where I can blog about starting my own Free School.

This is a great video made by the Sudbury Valley School on how their students spend their time.
